Unveiled: Harrogate Theatre's most ambitious outdoors production yet

Hide AdFunded with an Arts Council grant, the show will travel between indoor and outdoor locations along Oxford Street with the audience at the centre of the action with performances from August 24-29.
Shoppers got a sneak preview about what to expect from Our Gate when some of the cast and crew turned up on Oxford Street on Saturday.
Rufus Beckett of top local band The Paper Waits sang outside Harrogate Theatre at the weekend as part of a sneak preview of Our Gate on Oxford Street as members of the public looked on.
The new show has been ctreated by local writer Rachael Halliwell and director Amie Burns Walker, who brought the hugely successful Great Gatsby to Harrogate Theatre in 2019.

Hide AdThe team are also delighted to welcome back Evening Standard x TikTok Future Theatre Award winner Caitlin Mawhinney who will be designing the show.
Working directly with a combined intergenerational community and professional cast - this play has been made by the town and for the town.
The 30-plus community cast includes Carole Carpenter, Alex Skarratt, Ceri Wilkins, Sophie Blackburn, Samantha Marie, Jack Sinclair, Ash Miller plus professionals actors Ellen Carnazza, Ian Jervis, Lucy Mizen, Naail Ishaq, Serena Manteghi and Rufus Beckett.
