Fire crews from Boroughbridge, Knaresborough and Harrogate have battled a blaze at a farm house on the A168 between Boroughbridge and Allerton Park.

They were alerted to the blaze at 10.45pm on Thursday, December 4, and upon arrival crews found the living room well alight.

There was also smoke damage to both the ground and first-floor of the property.

Crews used three hose reel jets to extinguish the fire.

The cause is believed to be an electrical fault.
