Letter: Stray - Opposition does you credit
Your headline, 'It's time to drop Stray plan', leapt from page one like a shining light in a murky world.
Advertiser readers have had their say, overwhelmingly against the plan. In response, Harrogate Council has failed to suggest events which it and its commercially-driven pals might have in mind.
Shame on the council if it now goes ahead.
Your coverage does credit to local journalism. It is an illustration, in a dreadful age of fake news on so-called social media, of the value brought to society by mainstream newspapers which are informed, responsible - and free from official control.
