A clubber was left needing 'significant eye surgery' after being punched in the face by another man in the Viper Rooms on Sunday morning.

The 21-year-old man was standing at the bar in the upstairs area of the club between on Sunday, March 20, when he was attacked.

The other man punched the 21-year-old in the face at sometime between 12.30am and 1am, leaving him with a serious eye injury that required significant surgery.

Police are now appealing for information that could assist the investigation.
