A Harrogate-based technology start-up has headed across the Atlantic for the global unveiling of its award-winning app at a major industry event in Chicago.

Documobi launched its documobiFUSE app this week at Graph Expo 2015, one of the biggest print and publishing trade shows in the world.

The app allows user-generated content to be embedded into brand media via smartphones, tablets and wearables, to build a more direct and responsive brand-to-consumer relationship. It was awarded a US patent last year and has already attracted attention from the industry, having won a Future of Print Award, which recognises upcoming highlights from Graph Expo.

Pete Lancaster, founder and CEO of documobiFUSE, said: “It’s extremely encouraging that the industry has recognised the ingenuity and innovation of documobiFUSE ahead of the official North America launch.

“To be recognised with a Future of Print Award cements what we already know, documobiFUSE will be integral to the future of print.”

FUSE’s launch in North America will be followed by a UK launch, aimed at brand and marketing agencies, at Technology Expo 2015 in London on October 5-6.
