Markenfield Hall set to reopen

Moated, medieval and a much-loved family home, Ripons Markenfield Hall has survived invasion, confiscation and even being struck by lightning and now - along with every other historic house in the country, it is facing its latest challenge of reopening its doors.

Socially distanced Tiny Tours will allow visitors to return once more from July 13. Each tour will be limited to a maximum of just ten people, and must be booked in advance.

“The Hall has withstood numerous challenges (and disasters) over the years, but this closure is truly unprecedented. It does however offer people a wonderful opportunity to see the Hall at its most peaceful - as we are fortunate to see it every day.”
