Where and when

The Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championships run on Saturday, July 29 and Sunday, July 30, at the Croft Circuit, West Lane, Dalton-on-Tees, Darlington DL2 2PL, with blockbuster action from start to finish.

Who will be racing?

It’s too early to say who the front-runners will be, but joining local talent Dan Cammish and Daniel Lloyd will be three times reigning champion Ashley Sutton, Colin Turkington, title defender Tom Ingram, Jake Hill and Tom Chilton. Expect plenty of action, as they race for the glory on the day and points for the championship season. It’s your chance to see the heroes of today, and the stars of tomorrow – a young Lewis Hamilton raced British Touring Cars in 2003 at Croft.

Off circuit

There’s much more to BTCC than tyres on the track – enjoy browsing the trade stands, mingling with the super fans and grab sneak a peek at the drivers and support teams themselves. There are plenty of food stands to keep you satisfied all day long.

Where’s the best place to view the action?

The joy of the Croft Circuit layout means there’s plenty to see around the 2.1 mile route, whether you love watching the cars and drivers wrestle the chicanes, tricky hairpin turns, the Jim Clark Esses, the Tower Bend or the Bancroft; there’s simply not a poor spot from which to capture the action.

More than just BTCC

The support acts on the weekend are just as good … there’s the Porsche Sprint Challenge GB, with local drivers Max Coates and Ethan Hammerton starring. The MINI CHALLENGE Trophy will make a guest appearance in 2023, while the Legends Car Championships will also be starring.

Getting there

It’s a rural circuit, so it’s best to get there by car. There’s ample parking, and feedback from previous years has always praised the marshalling, making a visit a pleasure from green light to chequered flag.
