FOLLOWING three successful and varied shows, Tom Taylor and sitting room comedy club return to the St George Hotel in Harrogate next week.
The 19-year-old student-entrepreneur-comedian Tom said: “We have put together another very different show this month. As that old saying goes, ‘variety is never found in jars of mixed spices, you have to go to comedy nights for it’, or something like that.
“The first difference, this month’s show is on a Wednesday night. The observant amongst you will have noticed that the last event wasn’t on this date. We have, however, kept the starting time constant, 8pm, and also the venue.
“The comics are different though and this time their names are Simon Lipson, Bryan Lacey and Felix Dexter.”
First on is Simon Lipson, a comedian, impressionist, writer, voiceover artist and solicitor (!) whose many talents have been put to use on The Stand Up Show, Monkey Dust, Fordham and Lipson, Dead Ringers and a number of supermarket commercials.
Bryan Lacey is an exciting new comic who has received excellent reviews for his Edinburgh shows and, as a result, has been highlighted by the BBC as a potential star of the future.
The headliner is is law graduate Felix Dexter whose television credits read like an inventory of landmark shows: The Real McCoy, The Fast Show, Knowing Me Knowing You with Alan Partridge, Armstrong and Miller Show, Have I Got News for You, Bellamy’s People, The Lenny Henry Show and Grumpy Old Men.
He also played Saffy’s boyfriend in the last series of Absolutely Fabulous.
