Frazer Theatre in Knaresborough has seen some memorable music gigs in the past five years thanks to the efforts of local promoters.
The quality has certainly been maintained this year by Frazer Theatre Music whose latest announcement involves one of Britain’s most respected songwriters.
I Am Kloot’s John Bramwell is to play a one-man show in this intimate venue on Friday, June 20.
Playing I Am Kloot classics old and new, from Northern Skies to Same Deep Water As Me, Some Better Day to I Still Do, Bramwell may write songs of melancholy but on stage he is a witty and likable teller of anecdotes.
The show is the latest addition to an impressive line-up of concerts organized by FTM.
Autumn will see gigs by Kiki Dee and Camelo Luggeri, Beverley Craven and China Crisis.
And the arrival of the Tour de France through Harrogate and Knaresborough has encouraged a flurry of activity by Knaresborough in particular.
FTM is presenting two special Le Tour shows: Friday, July 4 – An Intimate Evening with Richard Digance. Saturday, July 5 – Christine Bovill: A Celebration of the Life and Works of Edith Piaf.
