Calendar presenter Christine Talbot and fellow TV celebrity Ian Clayton are to appear at Clifford’s annual beer festival on Saturday June 30.
And the pair will have a festival special What the Eck’s That? brewed by the award winning Elland Brewery, named from the TV adventures on the Tonight Programme and accompanying book written by Ian.
There will also be five live bands and a children’s play area, food, and award winning beers.
“We are honoured that Christine Talbot has found a way to still support our festival in these challenging times for her and we send her lots of love for a speedy recovery from her illness,” said Tim Downes, one of the beer festival organisers.
“It’s great that Ian has stepped in to help Christine at our festival as not only is he a talented author, actor and TV presenter (who most recently appeared on The One Show) but he embodies the true spirit of Yorkshire and a dedicated lover of real ale.”
Clifford also champions the Save the Pub campaign led by MP Greg Mulholland serving a festival special ale that last year was served on the bar at the House of Commons.
New festival sponsors Ilkley, who brewed Save the Pub, also won the Beer of The Festival in 2011 with the ever popular award winning Mary Jane.
Clifford prides itself on the quality and variety of the award winning drinks and food. The bar will feature four past and present Supreme Champion ales, four festival special brews and two dozen hand picked potential future champions.
