A flavour of summer at Art in the Mill’s new exhibition

By Graham Chalmers

Every splendid nook and cranny of the Art in the Mill building had a colouful piece of art - or a visitor peering at a colouful piece of art .

The launch for the venue’s summer exhibition, Now for Naive, seemed to attract half of Knaresborough, as well as visiting members of the Association of British Naive Artists and civic dignitaries such as Knaresborough Mayor Coun Carole Reid and deputy mayor, coun Tony Handley.

The exhibition, which runs right through to September, features the work of invited members of the ABNA and leading local artist John Wilson who has produced a unique print of Knaresborough viaduct for the occasion.

Also serving as a launch party for feva festival, the event at Green Dragon Yard also saw live jazz music.

Opening hours are Monday to Saturday, 9.30am-5.30pm and Sunday, 11am-5pm.
