Harrogate event set to reschedule as film festival is delayed by Covid
Founder Adam Chandler, who first launched the annual film extravaganza in 2017, said, although a mix of digital and in-person events was already in place for March, it was safer to push the dates back a bit.

Mr Chandler, who is director of video production company, Reel Film, said: “As much as we have a Festival planned and raring to go virtually with over 90% of our events planned to be held online, with a rapid vaccine rollout across the country we felt it made sense to push the Festival back eight weeks.
“The slight movement of date will hopefully provide some respite to people as it may allow us to not only hold these events virtually as planned but also some of them in-person, socially distanced and safe.”
Famed for its worldwide filmmakers’ competition, Harrogate Film Festival blends populist cinema events in unusual Harrogate locations with appearances by highly-respected figures from the wider film world.
