Harrogate Ladies lost for a third time in a row 53 -6 in the Women’s NC North Two East League on Sunday.

York quickly got onto the scoreboard, getting over the try line after six minutes with a clean conversion to take the lead.

Harrogate then earned a penalty which Claire Williams kicked over to pull the score to 7-3.

But York dominated the possession and scored three tries with only one conversion, to take a 24-6 lead into the interval.

Harrogate earned four penalties after the break but could only add a further three points to the board.

York dominated with the ball but had issues in the scrum, despite having a much heavier pack.

Harrogate’s defence was stronger as the game went on with Kirstie Butler named player of the match.

Harrogate Ladies will continue their search for a first league win when they take on Barnsley at Rudding Park on Sunday.
