TADCASTER Albion’s top of the table clash against Retford United is still on according to boss Paul Marshall despite the horrendous weather that has battered Yorkshire this week.
The River Wharfe has been risen dramatically in the last few days, which usually means bad news for The Park based club, whose pitch lies on a flood plain.
But at the moment the crunch match will be played.
“Today is a big day to see if it goes ahead,” said Marshall.
“It it stays dry the next few days it will be played. If there’s more rain we could be trouble.
“We hope it is on because it’s a big game for us.
If Albion beat current leaders Retford, they will leapfrog them in the NCEL Premier League standings.
