Harrogate CC maintained a perfect start to the season after winning twice last weekend.
Alexis Twigg struck a thrilling century to overcome Driffield in the Yorkshire League on Saturday by 10 wickets.
‘Gate then progressed to the National Club Cup second round after a nervy three-run win against South Shields.
Andy Laws (3-24), George Ross (3-66) and Ashley Griffin (2-25) combined to bowl Driffield out for 188.
Twigg (100no) overcame sickness to partner Aussie Calum How (73no) as ‘Gate eased to the total.
Captain Ryan Bradshaw said: “We were well up for it but I didn’t expect us to play that well. We were superb, outstanding with bat and ball.”
Spinner Laws (4-32) and young quick Griffin (4-28) again did the damage on Sunday as ‘Gate defended a measly 109.
Bradshaw added: “Our bowlers are fantastic. We like to use the cups to mix the players about and it shows we have squad depth.”
‘Gate travel to Lincolnshire-side Appleby Frodingham this Saturday.
