Harrogate squash aces Jenny Duncalf and James Willstop have been unveiled in the England squad for the upcoming Commonwealth Games.

Both players were announced in England’s nine-strong squad for the Glasgow Games yesterday.

The elite pair will go for gold in three competitions, the singles, doubles and mixed doubles.

Duncalf has been struggling with injury and form this season and has dropped outside the world’s top ten players.

The 31-year-old was a shock faller in the first round of the WSA World Tour event in Hong Kong last month, when she lost to world number 38 Salma Hany Ibrahim in five games.

However, the Harrogate ace can draw on Commonwealth experience as she won the silver medals in the singles and doubles competitions four years ago.

Willstrop, who moved to Harrogate last year, was also a losing finalist at the 2010 Games in Delhi when he lost to fierce rival and compatriot Nick Matthew in the golden showdown.

The world number six also won mixed doubles silver at Melbourne in 2006.
