Harrogate Railway manager Billy Miller reckons his troops should aspire to emulate Skelmersdale United.

Railway are set to host the Evo Stik First Division North title challengers on Saturday (kick-off 3pm), weather permitting.

Ahead of the match he said: “These are the games we want to play in, we want to emulate teams like Skelmersdale.

“Their movement is great, that’s where we want to be.”

And the manager is hopeful Railway starlet Josh Windass will be in line to play, after spending the week at Premier League champions Manchester City.

The boss explained: “Josh is at City this week to do some training, I’m not sure how it came about but he will be back for Saturday.

“He plays with no fear whatsoever, and brings a new dimension to our team.”

Railway visit Guiseley in the County Cup semi-final on Tuesday (kick-off 7.45).

Miller said: “It is a massive game for the club, we want to be involved in the final.”

On Saturday, Railway beat Ossett Albion 2-0 away from home in the league, despite Paddy Maguire missing a retaken penalty.

Miller said: “Paddy was unfortunate, but we persevered and Danny Hull and Alex Hallem scored for us.”
