Harrogate Town have capped a busy day in the transfer market by signing two teenagers.
Harrogate Town boss Simon Weaver has snapped up former Boston United and Whitby Town midfielder Niall Doran and Hull City trainee Jake Rose.
Both players will be eligible for tomorrow’s home match against Colwyn Bay and Weaver confirmed Doran would definitely be involved.
Doran, 19, started out at Hull City’s Academy before joining Vanarama Conference North side Boston United at the start of this season.
Following seven starts for the Pilgrims, he was signed by Evo-Stik Premier Division side Whitby, where he scored once in 20 appearances.
Former York City and Darlington forward Marco Gabbiadini recommended the midfielder to Town boss Simon Weaver and the club have monitored his progress over the last two months.
Hull City youth player Jake Rose has also registered on a work experience loan.
The 17-year-old has been a regular in the Tiger’s youth matches and can play in a range of roles in defence and midfield.
Weaver said: “He’s an ex-Hull teammate of Ryan Fallowfield.
“He’s a very creative player, good on the half-turn, can pass it well and finish.
“Jake is only 17, loves a tackle and is quick across the ground.”
