Here's an assessment of how Simon Weaver's players performed at the Mazuma Stadium.

James Belshaw 7 - Nothing to do during the first 45, but made three first-class saves in the second half that prevented the game getting away from Town.

Ryan Fallowfield 6 - Seemed to get forward much more in the second period and looked dangerous when he did so. Was crucially guilty of misjudging a header at the far post for Morecambe's goal, however. Made an excellent goal-line clearance late on.

Jake Lawlor 6 - Fairly solid at the back, but still looked vulnerable to any kind of pace in and around him.

Connor Hall 7 - Didn't do much wrong apart for one wayward pass in the second half. Was given time on the ball to come out and play and regularly joined in with Harrogate attacks.

Warren Burrell 6 - A sound display on the left side of defence without making too much of an impression on the contest.

Josh Falkingham 5 - Man-marked for the entirety of the game by Morecambe's Aaron Wildig, who didn't allow him to control the tempo of the match. Gave the ball away on more than one occasion almost leading to a goal.

Connor Kirby 7 - ADVERTISER STAR MAN. Got better and better as the game went on, full of energy and snapping into tackles all across the pitch, unlucky not to score with a difficult first-half volley.

George Thomson 5 - Didn't have a great impact on things on the right of a midfield three. Had a couple of strikes in the first period that were either blocked or off target. Usually so tidy in possession, some of his passing was loose, particularly in the middle of the opening 45.

Brendan Kiernan 6 - A couple of flashes of good play when beating his marker, but ultimately couldn't help Town get on the score-sheet and his end product was erratic.

Aaron Martin 6 - Seemed to compete well and win a lot in the air early on, but faded as the contest went on. Replaced by Jon Stead with 10 minutes to go.

Jack Muldoon 5 - Town's biggest goal threat this season was barely involved in the game from wide on the left of a front-three. Fired his team's best chance of an equaliser over the cross-bar when Fallowfield did manage to pick him out in a good position.
