Harrogate Town aiming to tap into support shown during open-top bus parade
Hundreds of fans lined the streets as the National League play-off winners embarked upon an open-top bus parade around Harrogate.
And with such a sizeable turn-out of well-wishers revelling in the glory of a first-ever promotion to the Football League, Weaver expects to see greater numbers through the turnstiles in 2020/21.

Hide Ad“We’ve got to try and harness it and engage as many of those people who turned out and see if we can get them into the stadium,” he said.
“It’s more than just a hope. I think that we can do it and as a club we are working hard on plans for how we can tap into what we saw on Saturday.
“What we’ve done seems to have captured the imagination of the local community. There’s a real enthusiasm and a feel-good factor about the club and about the town.
“If we could get the crowd up to nearer 3,000 then that would really show the knock-on effect of promotion and how much it means to Harrogate.”
