Gamers have been put on red alert with speculation surrounding the restocking of PS5s on Thursday 11 February.

Twitter tipster PS5StockAlertUK posted: "GAME have added back some bundles in preparation for their PS5 drop. The links I posted yesterday for the standalone consoles still state 11th for payment, so tomorrow seems to be GAME’s drop date. The timeframe is expected between 9AM-4PM."

For many the hunt for a new PS5 console continues months after its UK launch day – which saw retailers overwhelmed by interest, as demand outstripped supply.

But stock is appearing so it’s worth keeping tabs on the links below.

Where can I buy a PS5?

The PS5 remains the hottest property in town.

Those with the foresight or fortune to have pre-ordered a PS5 were able to pick up their shiny new consoles from the shops or have them delivered on the morning of launch day.

While the rest of us frantically scoured the internet for places that had it in stock.

Those places were increasingly hard to find with the likes of GAME, John Lewis, Curry’s, Tesco and Argos all selling out on the morning of release.

Game and Yodel made headlines when Game, who had used "multiple couriers" sent an email to its customers acknowledging the delivery challengers for retailers and couriers.

It added: "Yodel have informed us today (18 November) that not all orders due to be delivered by them will be delivered on release day."

Yodel said it was experiencing no delays and added: "Yodel does not work directly with Game. Our client is GFS, a fulfilment business who work in partnership with Game. We have been consistently clear on the order volumes we are able to carry for them and it is deeply disappointing that Yodel's name has been incorrectly used in an email to customers on the status of orders."

Game has since clarified that the "vast majority" of deliveries would be made on time, with the remainder coming a day later, the BBC reported.

Eagle-eyed commuters might have seen some of the tube signs around Oxford Circus replaced with a triangle, square and cross, as well as the customary red circle this week, in a PR stunt to promote the release of the PS5.

The shapes symbolise the classic Sony PlayStation control buttons.
