In 1982, the Harrogate International Centre played host to the annual celebration of all things pop, and what a show it looked to be.

Simon Foster competed for Irish group The Duskeys in 1982. He said: “Eurovision was a big deal. As a kid I used to watch it every year so being chosen to represent your country was a big honour.”
