Three men have been arrested on suspicion of murder after a Tadcaster man was killed outside a Leeds theatre.
The 28-year-old victim, Robert Adamczyk, of South Milford, suffered severe head injuries after he was assaulted outside The Grand Theatre in Leeds city centre at around 2am on Sunday morning.
The three men, all aged 18, were all from Leeds, West Yorkshire Police confirmed.
The victim is believed to have been punched by a man, who was white and part of a group of three, during the street attack.
Police and ambulance were called to the scene but the 28-year-old died from his head injuries at Leeds General Infirmary Hospital.
Senior investigating officer, DCI Simon Atkinson of the Homicide and Major Enquiry Team, said: “This has now become a murder enquiry in which a 28-year-old man has tragically died after being assaulted in the city centre by a white man who was in a group of three.
Detectives and forensic officers sealed off the junction of Harrison Street and New Briggate yesterday morning. (Dec 9)
