Organisers of the 2015 Bramham Park Fun Run say they are still collecting thousands of pounds in sponsorship money promised by participants and companies following this year’s event on October 4.
The event, which follows 5Km and 10Km routes through Bramham Park grounds, has been sponsored since 2007 by Wetherby Estate Agents Beadnall Copley who cover all costs so that every penny raised goes to Cancer Research UK Leeds Centre.
Andrew Beadnall said: “I thank everyone who took part and raised funds for this wonderful charity based in our area at St James Hospital.
“As usual this was an emotional yet fun day with so many taking part running and walking in memory of loved ones.”
In the 10Km event, the first runner home was Paul Millgate in a time of 36 min 28 secs and the first woman home was Dawn Gibbs in a time of 44 min 40 secs.
In the 5Km, Matt Burton completed the course in 20 min 12 secs and the first female was Fredricka Moor in 22 min 17 secs.
This years’ organiser Beverley Firth and Beadnall Copley wish to thank all who helped with the event.
