Kerbside Recycling: at Spofforth will be on Friday, November 23.

Crime figures: between September 17 and October 19 there had been one undetected crime in Spofforth which was the theft of two stone urns from a property on the Harrogate Road this occurred between 10am and noon while the occupants were out. This highlights the need to be aware of strangers wandering around and reiterates the plea by the police to report any suspicious activity however trivial it may seem. Putting back the clocks can lead to break- ins when residents are out on such activities as collecting children from school, leaving the house in darkness. It is suggested that leaving the lights, Radio or TV on or even fitting a timer switch could give the appearance that somebody is home. To report to the police use 101 or 999 if urgent.
