Soap stars from TV’s Emmerdale and county championship-winning cricketer were among more than 500 visitors at Martin House’s annual open day.
Jeff Hordley, who plays bad boy Cain Dingle and his wife Zoe Henry, who also stars in the soap as vet Rhona Goskirk, rubbed shoulders with other guests at the Wetherby venue. Both are Martin House ambassadors.
Also present was Yorkshire cricketer Ryan Sidebottom, part of the Tykes squad which has just reclaimed the LV County Championship, aling with ITV Calendar presenter Christine Talbot and Mike Heaton, the drummer from alternative rock group Embrace.
Community fundraiser Sarah Tarpey said: “This year was a particularly special one for staff and volunteers at the hospice, and it was wonderful to see so many supporters, and a few of our families, joining us on the day.”
Youngsters from Scarla School of Performing Arts were also present on the day.
They have have raised funds for Martin House for many years and they are pictured with the charity’s Chief Executive Angela Monaghan, volunteers and Marty Bear.
