PC Tony Sweeny: Scarcroft was sorry to hear of the passing of PC Tony Sweeny at a young age. He was the Community Constable for Scarcroft a few years ago, living in Harewood. He was very popular, one of the old school policemen, had a good idea what was going on within the villages, knew of the local villains and dealt with them. He attended the Parish Council meetings and kept all informed. Sadly we lost him when he was moved into the Leeds area. Our sympathy with his family.
