Rotary Club of Harrogate bike storage appeal
The club runs a successful bicycle recycling scheme, whereby used bikes are donated and distributed to those who need them.
Over 1,600 bicycles have been collected and distributed since the scheme began but, with nowhere to store donated bikes, the project is under threat.

“Thanks to the kindness and generosity of the members of Harrogate Rugby Club, the collected bikes have been stored at the Claro Road site before being transported on to the receiving charities.
“Without this input the project would not have been so successful.
“As a result of the Rugby Club’s relocation to Rudding Lane a new storage venue for the bikes is urgently required in order that this most worthwhile scheme may continue.”

Mr Walsh added: “ The relevant charities and many individuals have benefitted from the scheme.
“Offers of storage facilities would be welcomed.”
The Harrogate Advertiser Series is backing the club’s bid to continue their work sending bicycles across the UK and abroad.
Anyone who may be able to help store any number of bicycles is urged to get in touch.
