PTA summer fair raises £3,000

Pupils, teachers, family and friends gathered on the playing fields at Pannal Primary School for their annual Summer Fair organised by the PTA.

The sun shone on a great mix of stalls and games including archery, bouncy castles, a photo booth, live hungry hippo and tug of war.

With support from parents and businesses the event raised an amazing £3,000 which had been earmarked for resources in the new early years classrooms.

“The generous donations we receive from surrounding businesses makes all the difference to our school events,” said a spokesman.

“Alistair McIntosh supplying Taylor’s refreshments, Nicola Wilson for use of her vintage drinks Caravan, Karen Handy for the archery. Then we have Steve Willis from Crimple Valley Fresh who is always ready to get involved, lending his chiller van, donating trays of juicy strawberries, sacks of coconunts as well as fresh produce gift vouchers.

“We just want to take this opportunity to say thank you.”
