As part of the neighbourhood improvement plan focusing on the village square, Bramham Parish Council initially commissioned the work, around the five-metre tall, Grade II listed memorial to coincide with VE Day celebrations in May.

“Many positive comments have been received by the council on the results which have been achieved and the memorial is now in great shape to not only enhance the village square but provide a fitting tribute to villagers who sacrificed their lives for the freedoms we enjoy today,” said Belinda Heaton of the Parish Council.

“Bramham in Bloom have completed the project beautifully with new pots and planting.

“Many thanks to all who made this happen.”
