The sixth annual Tour de Yorkshire would have been taking place in the next few weeks.
But organisers made the decision, back in November, to cancel for the second year in a row due to the uncertainty of coronavirus restrictions.
The road cycling race, which first took place in May 2015, arose as a legacy event following the success of the visit of the 2014 Tour de France to the county. The Tour de Yorkshire - promoted by the Amaury Sport Organisation (ASO) - should have become part of the new UCI ProSeries in 2020.
