Manning Stainton launch £10k school support fund

Estate agent, Manning Stainton, has pledged £10,000 to create a support fund to help local schools and pupils who have been affected by lockdown closures.

Schools from Wetherby, and also Leeds and Wakefield, will be able to apply for donations from the estate agent’s school support fund to help finance equipment, materials and resources to help pupils currently learning from home and those that will need additional support when they return to the classroom.

Mark Manning, managing director, said: “There are thousands of students across our region currently being home schooled due to enforced school closures, but many are struggling because of a lack of equipment and resources.

“Schools from across our network can take advantage of the fund to help ensure their students are able to get the best education possible despite ongoing school closures and disruption caused by Coronavirus.

“Donations from the fund can be used to finance anything the school deems necessary to enhance the education of pupils, whether that be IT equipment, online resources or subscriptions, stationary and textbooks, or sports equipment.

“We’re really proud to support our local communities and we hope this fund helps those pupils who need it.”

The fund will remain open when pupils return to the classroom. Visit www.manningstainton.co.uk
