Police team reaches out to all in the community

The month of May has seen Tadcaster SNT involved in community engagement in various forms.

The team has attended a local drop-in event at Calcaria House together with the local Council Community officer whereby members of the public were invited to meet their team.

This is a service we provide to local residents given them the opportunity to discuss any issues or concerns they may have.

Further dates will be advertised in the future for further events.

PCSO Shipley organised a pop up event in Tadcaster in conjunction with North Yorkshire Horizons.

They specialise in drugs rehabilition and the event proved popular to the locals where advice and education was given and any questions answered.

Anti-social behaviour in the town and villages is still very low, however, recently the Police have been made aware of youths climbing onto the roofs of various buildings Tadcaster.

This is extremely dangerous and concerning and we ask parents to speak with their children regarding the dangers of such activity.

As we are now approaching the end of another school year, the local SNT team will be attending the primary schools and conducting CEOP presentations.

This targets child exploitation and internet safety.

If you, as an organisation, feel you would benefit from this type of presentation, please do not hesitate to contact North Yorkshire Police, Tadcaster SNT.

Future events that the Police team will be attending include the annual Tadcaster Carnival on July 19.
