Aladdin and the Twankeys

by Luke J Smith, aged 8

The dame (Berwick Kaler) is in his 35th year in York’s pantomime and all the audience cheer when he comes on stage.

My favourite part of Aladdin and the Twankeys was when Princess Peke-a-Boo had a hen party and her guests were chickens who danced around when she wasn’t looking.

The best character was Gene Genie and I also loved Berwick Kaler, who makes me laugh with his comedy.

The songs were really good and I liked the sets and the costumes, especially when Berwick was dressed with big feathers on his back.

Another good bit is a film show and I really liked the flying bed.

Near the end they went to Egypt and met Tutankhamun and Cleopatra. That was good because I have been learning about them at school.
