Harrogate's Royal Pump Rooms closed due to flooding

The Royal Pump Rooms in Harrogate town centre has remained closed to visitors after heavy rainfall flooded the entrance yesterday (April 5).

The museum which entertains guests with the history of Harrogate's spa water first announced on Facebook yesterday that it would be closed due the flooding.

But today (April 6) the museum said in a statement it would remain closed again and would update visitors with more information soon.

It said: "Unfortunately, the Royal Pump Room Museum is closed again today, until further notice. following the flood into the entrance hall of the museum, following the heavy rain and hail.

"Apologies for any inconvenience caused and we hope to welcome visitors again as soon as possible. We will keep you updated."
