Sporty pupils at a Wetherby primary school have been kitted out by the town’s branch of estate agent Manning Stainton.

Boys and girls in Key Stage 2 at St James’ Church of England Primary School received colourful new hoodies as part of the firm’s on-going Community Support Programme.

The tops were revealed for the first time at a gymnastics tournament at the John Charles Centre in Leeds and according to Acting Head of School Natalie Beatson they were extremely well received.

“The children looked really smart and the fact that they were all dressed the same presented a really professional image. We also received lots of nice comments from other schools,” said Natalie.

She added: “We have a very busy programme of sport at the school so the tops will definitely get plenty of use and we are extremely grateful to Manning Stainton for their generous sponsorship.”

In 2017 Manning Stainton donated in excess of £50,000 to over 115 groups, clubs and organisations through its Community Support Programme.

Other local beneficiaries included the Wetherby Christmas Lights Appeal, Sicklinghall Cricket Club and Collingham Junior Football Club.

Laura Taylor, the Branch Coordinator at Manning Stainton in Wetherby, explained: “We take our role within the community extremely seriously and it is a source of great pride that we have been able to support so many different groups and help them achieve a variety of objectives.”
