Reach for the sky with charity jump

The events team at Martin House has organised the first ever Martin House Sky Dive to take place in Bridlington on Monday and Tuesday, May 16 and 17.

The hospice still has ten places left to make the event a success so if you have ever fancied jumping out of an aeroplane this is your chance.

By pledging to do a sponsored parachute jump money can be raised for Martin House and brave participants can have the experience of a lifetime.

Danny Williams, Fundraiser at Martin House, said: “Jumping from an aeroplane takes a good deal of courage. By asking friends, family and work colleagues how much they are prepared to pay not to jump out of an aircraft, and put that money to the cause lots of cash can be raised.

“A skydive is a unique and totally unforgettable experience and care is taken to ensure that participants enjoy every part of it. Our skydives take place at an airfield in Bridlington with a group of very experienced instructors, who between them have taken part in thousands of jumps.

“This is the first time that we have organized this type of event and we are really looking forward to the two days. It does take courage and conviction to actually leap from the aeroplane but what a fantastic experience and the money raised goes towards supporting the wonderful facilities that we have here at Martin House in Boston Spa.”
