Police issue warning about parking

Drivers at a local beauty spot have been warned about inconsiderate parking.

West Yorkshire Police Leeds North East said PCSO Crossland had attended Crabtree Lane, in East Keswick, on Sunday March 7 due to complaints.

A force spokesman said on facebook: “The area is a rural village frequented by walkers and when the small carpark is full, drivers have been parking on the pedestrian footpath.

“Cars have also parked opposite bus stops and up to the junction of the road making this area unsafe for pedestrians and other road users.”

They said five advisory notices and four verbal warnings were given and urged people to think about where they park.
