Harewood school raises money

Pupils at a Harewood school have been doing their bit for charity after donating items to people in disaster zones across the world.

Over the last few weeks, staff and students at Gateways School in Harewood have been collecting humanitarian items – ranging from a toothbrush to clothes and practical hardware essentials – to fill Aquaboxes. Once the boxes arrive and are emptied out, they are then used to fill bottles of purified drinking water to local communities known as ‘Aquaboxes’, a scheme run by Rotary International.
