Clare Louise Richardson, 34, of 7 Bowland Court, Harrogate, was ordered to carry out unpaid work of 80 hours within the next 12 months for stealing £15.15 of cash from an individual in Knaresborough. She was ordered to pay compensation of £15.15, a victim surcharge of £60 and costs of £620.

Shaun Robert Kent, 46, of Flat 1, 17 St Marys Avenue, Harrogate, was ordered to carry out unpaid work of 120 hours within the next 12 months for failing to notify Harrogate Borough Council of a change in circumstances affecting his Housing Benefit. He was ordered to pay a victim surcharge £60 and costs of £85.

The following were dealt with at Harrogate Magistrates Court on May 26:

Jordan Alec Spence, 29, of 34 Wedderburn Close, Harrogate, was fined £120 for failing to provide a blood specimen after being suspected of a driving offence on Wedderburn Close, Harrogate. He was ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £30 and costs of £85, and was disqualified from driving for 12 months, to be reduced by 13 weeks on completion of an approved course.

Michael John Hassall, 50, of Warren Bank, Knox Mill Lane, Killinghall, was fined £500 for resisting a police officer in the execution of his duty in Killinghall. He was ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £50 and costs of £200. There were no separate penalties for three other charges of resisting a police officer in the execution of his duty.

Fiona Elaine Robinson, 51, of The Inbye, Watsons Lane, Norwood, was ordered to carry out unpaid work of 80 hours within the next 12 months for driving while under the influence of alcohol in Addingham. She was ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £85 and costs of £85, and was disqualified from driving for 24 months, to be reduced by 24 weeks on completion of an approved course.

The following were dealt with at Harrogate Magistrates Court on June 2:

Thomas Mason, 66, of 136 Hylton Road, Sunderland, was discharged conditionally for 12 months for stealing two bottles of Mount Gay Rum, two bottles of Smirnoff Red vodka and one bottle of Grey Goose worth a total £142 from Sainsbury on Wetherby Road, Harrogate. He was ordered to pay compensation of £142 and a victim surcharge of £20.

Tracy Parcell, 46, of 30a King Edward’s Drive, Harrogate, was ordered to carry out unpaid work of 100 hours within the next 12 months for failing to notify Harrogate Borough Council of a change in circumstances affecting Housing Benefit. She was ordered to pay a victim surcharge £60 and costs of £100.
