St Edward’s Roman Catholic Church: services for the coming week are as follows Saturday, January 26 6pm vigil mass, Sunday, January 27 10am, Monday, January 28 to Friday, February 1 9.30am (10am on Thursday).
Clifford Methodist Church: on Sunday, January 27 there will be a service at 10.30am. There will also be an open house coffee morning in the Methodist schoolroom on Tuesday, January 29 from 10–11.30am. All welcome. Meanwhile, the church now has its own website, which is worth visiting, and can be found at http://www.cliffordmc.org.uk.
St Luke’s Church: there will be a holy communion service on Sunday, January 27 at 11am.
Burns’ Night supper and dance: Boston Spa Methodist church will be holding a supper and dance, in the village hall, on Saturday, January 26 starting at 7pm. Traditional Burns’ Night festivities will include Scottish country dancing, and bagpipes. There will also be a licensed bar. Tickets are £10 – including a traditional Burns’ Night supper, and are available from the B4G group, or by telephoning Brian Marsden on 01937 843422. All money raised will go to the B4G Development Fund.
Live Music at the Albion: bands from throughout the country will be performing live at the Albion throughout the year, normally on a Saturday evening. Meanwhile, folk evenings take place once a month on a Wednesday. These will now be on the third Wednesday of each month. The next folk evening will, therefore, take place on Wednesday, February 20. Clifford AFC: bingo is now a regular event, normally on the second Tuesday of every month, starting at 7.30pm. Entrance fee of £3 includes raffle ticket. The next bingo is in February.
