St Edward’s Roman Catholic Church: services for the coming week are as follows: Saturday, March 2 6pm vigil mass, Sunday, March 3 10am, Monday, March 4 to Friday March 8 9.30am (10am on Thursday).

Clifford Methodist Church: on Sunday, March 3 there will be a service at 10.30am. There will also be an open house coffee morning in the Methodist schoolroom on Tuesday, March 5, from 10–11.30am. All welcome. Meanwhile, the church now has its own website, which is worth visiting, and can be found at

St Luke’s Church: there will be a holy communion service on Sunday, March 3 at 3.30m.

Concert: the excellent Valanzano Ensemble will be performing pieces by Mendelssohn, Haydn, and Beethoven, at St Luke’s on Saturday, March 2, starting at 7.30pm. Tickets are £10, including food and wine, and are available on the door. For further info, please contact the Gausdens on 01937 843575.

Quiz: Clifford Village Hall supporters are holding one of their popular quizzes on Friday, March 15, at 7.30pm in the village hall.  A few tickets are still available, £6 including a light supper. A maximum of six is permitted per team. A bar and raffle will be available as usual.  Please ring Lyn 842141 or Andrea 845981 (both 01937) for tickets.

Live Music at the Albion: bands from throughout the country will be performing live at the Albion throughout the year, normally on a Saturday evening. Meanwhile, folk evenings take place once a month on a Wednesday. These will now be on the third Wednesday of each month. The next folk evening will, therefore, take place on Wednesday, March 20. Clifford AFC: bingo is now a regular event, normally on the second Tuesday of every month, starting at 7.30pm. Entrance fee of £3 includes raffle ticket. The next bingo is in March.
