CBeebies favourite gardener MR Bloom and CBBC wild life presenter Naomi Wilkinson are set to perform at Stockeld Park’s Spring and Summer Adventures.

The announcement of the two new dates - May 31 and July 18 - follows a bumper Easter where the family friendly Wetherby attraction enjoyed a record number of visitors across the weekend.

Amy Thornton, marketing manager of Stockeld Park said: “We are really enjoying building a fantastic seasonal programme of adventures and events.

“Historically Stockeld Park was renowned for its Christmas Adventure but over the last three years we have heavily invested in opening across all the seasons to coincide with school holidays - when families are looking to entertain the children.

“We had fantastic weather during Easter, this coupled with the additional events and shows we put in place, resulted in a 25 per cent increase in visitors on our previous year.

“As we grow we are keen to ensure both new and loyal visitors have a great experience and the special one off events will always provide something new for families to enjoy.”

CBeebies star Mr Bloom is a happy-go-lucky, singing gardener who runs his own nursery.

He will be bringing his entertaining children’s show to Stockeld Park’s Spring Adventure on Sunday May 31 for all to enjoy.

There will also be a prize draw on the day, for all children attending the show, to win a chance to get up close and personal with Mr Bloom and maybe get their hands mucky too.

To launch the start of the summer season and to inspire young explorers to get outside and enjoy nature, CBBC star and TV presenter Naomi Wilkinson will be performing live on Saturday July 18.

Naomi who stars in Naomi’s Nightmares of Nature, Wild!, Live ‘n’ Deadly and Wild and Weird, will give an insight into her Wild life and will be joined on stage by the Reptile Rangers and their amazing creatures.

On the day some lucky children will be picked from a prize draw to win the chance to get up on stage with Naomi, the Reptile rangers and the exotic animals for Can you handle it?

The park estate has been in the same family for over 150 years and owners Peter and Susie Grant continue to invest in the attraction which won the Yorkshire White Rose best Tourism event of the year in 2014.

The new dates are part of Stockeld Park’s special events programme, where in addition to the indoor and outdoor play on offer, the team create a show-stopping mix of entertainment and adventure.

In addition to the star performances visitors can enjoy attractions including a roller rink, an Enchanted Forest filled with interactive playgrounds, plus an indoor wet weather play area and craft zone.

Stockeld Park’s Spring Adventure will open daily from 10am to 6pm from May 23-31 and the Summer Adventure from July 15 to September 7.
