Vintage rubbed fenders with classic at the Tadcaster Classic Car Show which drew large crowds despite the weather.

Vehicles ranged from 1928 to 2004, with a concourse event for pre and 1970 at the event which raised money for Martin House Children’s Hospice.

Organised by City of Leeds MG and Tadcaster Classic Car Clubs, members Robin Hallum and Jonathan Craig were judges.

“Tadcaster’s Classic Car Show used to be held every year, although the proceeds did not go to charity,” said Mr Craig.

“It didn’t go ahead last year, but we are confident, that this will now become an annual event in Tadcaster’s calendar and continue to raise money for charity.”

The prize for the Best in Show was won by Mr Lomas from Manchester with his 1983 Triumph Acclaim and £680 was raised through a raffle and donations for Martin House.

“I hope that Tadcaster Classic Car Club can grow in its own right and become a fun club for car enthusiasts to show and use their classics,” said Mr Craig. Contact jon_craig@btinternet.com
