Car crashes and serious traffic delays as snow descends on Harrogate

Motorists were caught up in a gridlocked Harrogate this morning after overnight snowfall left roads covered in ice.

Reports of car crashes, and serious delays have been coming in throughout the morning (January 18).

Ten assaults a month against North Yorkshire police officers and staff - but sentencing for attacks has been doubled
