Boston Spa-based Deans Computer Services (DCS) enjoyed a record attendance at this year’s Spring Showcase, its biennial conference dedicated to the latest issues and innovations in IT.

The success of the event has prompted DCS to make it an annual occasion, and the company has plans for an expanded version in 2019.

Held at Rudding Park, near Harrogate, the 2018 Spring Showcase featured a range of keynote speeches from experts in fields including cyber-security, General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), data capture, digital marketing and R&D tax relief.

Top of the bill was a presentation from Google Digital Garage providing insight on how to gain a competitive advantage online.

Managing director Patrick Clayton said: “We held our first Spring Showcase conference in 2012 and the event gets more popular each time we host it.

“The feedback from visitors is always extremely positive – many companies have told us that what they learned at the event will make a huge difference to the efficiency, health and wellbeing of their business.”
