Jazz in the Spa: the session this Saturday, August 24, Café Society, a long overdue visit from this off the wall cabaret quartet featuring the outrageous Anthony Mason in his Noel Coward role with banjo and ukulele, plus Willie Entwistle on reeds, Andy Henderson on cornet and Colin Turner on tuba. Boston Spa Methodist Church: the services for this Sunday, August 25 – 10.30am Rev Dr Gordon Shaw. All are welcome to join us at any of our services and events, and for refreshments afterwards in the Wesley Room.

St Mary’s Ark: join us at St Mary’s Ark, St Mary’s Church every 1st and 3rd Thursday of the month from 1.45-3pm (term time only) at St Mary’s Church, Boston Spa. This includes a short service for babies, toddlers, parents and carers. Including refreshments and activities. A warm welcome awaits you from the members of Mothers’ Union.. Our next meeting will be Thursday, September 5.

Saturday 12 October 12: ‘Voices for Hospices’ charity concert for Martin House at St Mary’s Boston Spa at 7.30pm. HARVEST FESTIVALS : Sunday September 22 at St Luke’s Clifford. Sunday October 6 at All Saints’ Thorp Arch, St Peter’s Walton and St Mary’s Boston Spa. Sunday October 13 at All Saints’ Bramham. All gifts of dried or tinned products will be donated to Arc Light, York, which is a charity that pro-vides accommodation and support to homeless men and women in York.

Boston Spa Gardening Society: our next meeting will be held on Wednesday, August 28. This meeting is our AGM –  meeting and social featuring the chairman’s challenge. We meet at 7.15pm at Deepdale Community Centre. Refreshments and raffle available at every meeting. New members are warmly welcomed. Boston Spa Farmers Market: our next farmers market will be held on Friday, September 13 from 9am to approx noon. You will find us on the Millennium Square outside Boston Spa Library, High Street. Come and buy all that is fresh and local from freshly baked goods, pies and pastries, fresh meat and eggs and locally produced fruit and vegetables.
