Artists call up for Gallery's showcase open exhibition

Entries are now being sought for the popular annual Harrogate Open Exhibition, to be held at the town's Mercer Art Gallery In June.

The event, which offers a chance for people to have their work on view and for sale at the prestigious venue, has a prize fund of £1,200.

Organisers said the exhibition has appeal for those who might be starting their artistic journey or have been painting for decades.

Jane Sellars said: ”We are delighted to have two such distinguished artists as our selectors for 2017, both of whom are great supporters.”

Entry forms are available to download at www.harrogate.gov.uk/mercerartgallery or from the Gallery. Submission dates are Wednesday June 7-11.
