Arrests made after teenager attacked in Harrogate

An altercation on Oxford Street Harrogate left an 18-year-old man with significant injuries on Sunday, May 17.

North Yorkshire Police have now arrested two women, one aged 26 and the other aged 22, both from Harrogate, on suspicion of Section 18 Wounding.

The incident took place at around 6.45pm on Sunday and the road was closed for a short time afterwards while officers carried out enquiries.

Both women remain in police custody while enquiries continue.

Anyone who witnessed the incident or has any information which could assist the investigation is asked to call the police.
