Aled Jones for Firefighters Charity Concert at HIC
The annual extravaganza by North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service is always a spectacular affair and this Sunday night’s show looks set to be being the best one to date since it was first launched 49 years ago.
This festive evening of traditional and modern performances combines performances from the firefighters bands, local choirs and special guest stars.

One of the local firefighters instrumental in making the concert such a success recently received a royal honour.
Bruce Reid, who is married with four children and two grandchildren and lives in Knaresborough, received the MBE from The Duke of Cambridge, Prince William at the same ceremony as rugby union great Jonny Wilkinson.
Stationed at Acomb fire station in York, Bruce said he was thrilled to receive the award on behalf of the firefighters.
